PHLDiversity celebrates “The Impact of Diversity" at its 2015 Annual Luncheon, which will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, Grand Ballroom.

Emphasizing the economic impact Diversity can bring by revealing the power of minority spending.

2015 PHLDiversity Annual Luncheon will distribute four honorable awards to highlight industry professionals in the Greater Philadelphia Area:

Community Recognition Award, presented by AETNA: This award is presented to an individual or organization whose advocacy and community service resulted in a positive impact on our multicultural community while embodying the principles of PHLDiversity.

Stephen S. Tang, Ph.D., MBA, President and CEO of the University City Science Center,

Industry Appreciation Award, presented by Philadelphia Magazine: This award is presented to an organization that paves the way for multicultural tourism initiatives through partnerships with various segments of the hospitality industry

Jay H. Shah Chief Executive Officer, Hersha Hospitality Trust.

Bring it Home Award presented by The Capital Grille: This award is presented to individuals who supportPHLDiversity’s mission by working with the PHLCVB to bring a multicultural convention to Philadelphia

Former Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell,  City of Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter, and Robert A. Brady U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional District

.The PHLDiversity Annual Luncheon is the only gathering of diverse hospitality professionals dedicated to increasing Philadelphia’s recognition as a leading multicultural and diverse meetings and convention city. The event also honors industry and community leaders for their support of PHLDiversity’s mission and for their contributions toward the effort.

Philadelphia's own Kathy Sledge is the opening performance for the PHLDiversity Annual Luncheon, Kathy Sledge is an internationally known singer who has had several hits on the International Pop and Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, including "Take Me Back to Love Again", which hit #1 in 1992. 

PHLDiversity EMCEE Cynthia Gouw nationally-recognized and Emmy award-winning television journalist and host.  Philadelphia Magazine named her as one of the region's top 10 bloggers for her lifestyle web video channel, SnapGlowTV. 

Councilman David Oh, Minority Whip will deliver City of Philadelphia remarks.  Elected to City Council At-Large in November 2011 and took office in January 2012. David is the first and only Asian-American elected to political office in Philadelphia.
